Brenda K. Estis

Director of Public Relations

Brenda has been a resident of Oak Forest since December, 2014. She moved here from the Heights with her husband, Rufus, who is the Treasurer for OFHA. Brenda is a former high school science teacher and high school principal. She attended Louisiana Tech University, graduated from LSU-S with a BS in Science Education and received her MEd (Administration) from SHSU.

Brenda has been a volunteer for organizations for decades; she was a volunteer (“Candy-Striper”) at her hometown hospital in her early teen years; she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, for the HOA’s where she has previously lived and she was President of the American Women’s Association in Jakarta, Indonesia. Oak Forest is my home…I will work tirelessly to make and keep Oak Forest the best place to live in Houston.

Brenda has a passion for cooking! She enjoys cooking with and for others and every once-in-a-while, teaching a cooking class or two! Even though she is retired from teaching, a lot of her time is spent teaching and sharing her experiences with others.
