Frequently Asked Questions

What is OFHA?

The Oak Forest Homeowners Association (OFHA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) corporation.  We are volunteers who are dedicated to making our neighborhood a great place to live.  We enforce the deed restrictions of all 18 sections of Oak Forest, work on park and community beautification projects, monitor government plans or actions that may impact the neighborhood, and organize activities to improve the sense of community and quality of life in our area.

Are OFHA membership dues mandatory?

No. OFHA membership dues are voluntary. If you elect to pay, the annual dues are $40. Payments may be made online at payments.myoakforest.org

Where does the membership money go?

Membership money goes to administrative overhead like insurance and printing, beautification projects, community events and activities and other miscellaneous items associated with the neighborhood.

How can I become involved?

Attend a monthly meeting and/or join a committee. We would love to have your involvement!  As a volunteer, you have the choice of working on a committee or just coming out and helping with a single project.
Our regular meetings are the second Monday of each month at Candlelight Park Community Center (1520 Candlelight Ln.) at 7 pm.  The Executive Board meets on the first Monday of every month at 6:30pm.
